| 1) Adjust the height and tilt
of the keyboard so that your wrists are straight, upper arms relaxed and
in to your sides, and forearms are horizontal with approximately a 90
degree angle at the elbow. The mouse should be placed at the same
height as your keyboard and beside it.
2) Adjust the backrest to support the small of your back. If possible alter the height of the backrest to support between your shoulder blades. 3) Adjust the monitor height so that the top of the screen is in line with, so slightly below, eye level. Also ensure that the screen is directly in front of you. 4) Adjust your seat height, aiming to have your thighs approaching horizontal, with angles of approx. 90 degrees at hip, knee and ankle. If necessary used a good foot rest to ensure you are in the best possible position. 5) Take regular rest breaks. This means that you should take a five or ten minute break from your computer every hour, and spend time on other tasks that require a different posture.
